Winter stays

We are located 5 km away from any stores. You will need between 1h and 1h30 to reach Les Coches from the Chalet on foot. We cannot  give you a ride freely because of the restrictive schedule imposed upon us by the Prefecture. On the other hand, during daytime, it is pretty easy to get to La Plagne’s villages on ski.

Rooms will not be ready before 17h in winter, in case you plan to come on ski. WARNING: If you wish to be transported by a tracked shuttle and/or snowmobile for your transfer to the chalet, you must arrive at the parking de l’Orgère before 8:15am in the morning or from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the evening. This schedule is unfortunately not negotiable and is established after an exceptional derogation obtained from Savoy’s prefecture.

There are 3 different slopes giving you access to the chalet:

A blue slope and two black slopes. Depending on snow conditions and other hazards, the ski patrol may close some of them.

If the blue slope is accessible to anyone, we are not responsible wether it is opened or not.

You always need to plan ahead regarding ski lifts closing hours and how much time you need to get from one to another. We cannot pick you up on the slopes and calling a taxi might be pricey.

Yes, we will not be able to transport you in the morning to get your ski pass. This means you would need to go get your ski pass using the blue slope nest to the chalet (which is flat for around 2km). You cannot use ski lifts without a ski pass for insurance reasons. You need to plan ahead in order to make the most out of your day skiing. So, YES, we do recommend that you buy your ski pass the day before so that you do not waste any time.

In order to make the most of your stay, we remind you that it is essential that your ski equipment and ski passes are rented and collected before your arrival at our meeting point (Orgère car park). If you have not yet rented them, you can contact our partners EVOLUTION2 or GODILLE in Les Coches.
For any further information, please contact us by email.

We suggest you either to take individual ski lessons and ask the instructors to take them directly from the chalet (possible according to your kid ski level), or to opt  in case they are enrolled in team lessons in the late morning hours so that they do not have to use the blue run (requires you to push on ski poles for 2 of the 5 km). Once ski lifts open, you will be able to take the one next to the chalet and reach the lesson location on ski with your child without worrying about time.

During the day there are always customers in the bar restaurant.

On the evenings it depends on whether you have privatized the upstairs rooms or not.

Our staff also stay in a lower part of the chalet

On the day of your departure, if you wish for your luggage to be by your vehicle in order to leave before 17h45, it is crucial to bring it at the reception before 8h00. If not, we will not be able to transport them to the ski resort before 18h00.

Rooms must be vacated before 10h30. You can leave the chalet later in the day if you wish, but you will not have access to rooms and private bathrooms.

In winter, rooms must be vacated before 10h30 to make sure the room make up can be done.

Since we are at the heart of the mountains, we do not have fibre internet, but we do have a 4G terminal. Wi-Fi is only available in our dining room and is only available to rooms’ customers.

In the evening, we only serve residents. Menu includes a starter dish, a main dish, and a dessert or a single dish (type: Savoyarde Raclette cheese or Savoyarde fondue cheese) and a dessert.
For an authentic experience, we often serve Savoyarde cuisine.

It is crucial to let us know at least one week before your arrival so we can plan ahead and adapt our cuisine to your allergies.

Breakfast is served from 7h30 to 9h30

If you want a birthday cake rather than classic desserts, you must inform us at least 7 days before your arrival. Because of our location and constraints on deliveries, we need time to satisfy your demand.
